About the Position

As an Executive Chef with Harris Health System, you will be responsible for oversight of the kitchen operations at the pavilions. You will work under the guidance of the Corporate Executive Chef in order to train and develop the culinary team. The ideal candidate will be able to design recipes, perform cost analysis, as well as have knowledge of forecasting and menu planning. An Executive Chef will also perform quality assurance activities and maintain safety/sanitation guidelines while working collaboratively with the clinical nutrition team to ensure optimal patient care. You will also need extensive retail and catering experience to implement the in-house catering program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, or related field
    • Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts also accepted
  • 4 years of managing food production operations or healthcare food service management
  • 2 years of experience in culinary leadership
    • 3 years preferred
  • Catering experience
  • Food Managers Certificate
  • Experience using electronic food service management software preferred
